Week of October 6-8
Plagiarism and cheating are poor choices, unfortunately, sometimes our students make those poor choices in my class. This past week we completed two writing assignments. A few students made the choice to have AI write their paper. Most made the correct choice in writing their own stories, which I greatly appreciate! The consequence for cheating with AI on an assignment is a grade of 0/zero. Please talk to your student about ethical responsibility.

I have created a folder called Daily Assignments in Schoology. If your student is absent, work is there for the day and expected to be made up immediately.
Monday-Open book quiz on A Monster Calls, Read a short story called “The Elevator”
Tuesday-Common Lit RACER assignment on cellphones.
Wednesday-Vocabulary Unit 1 Test (will go on next quarter’s grades)
Thursday & Friday-Fall Break! (yay)
Students should be reading 15-20 minutes per night on the book of their choice.
